Mets vs Dodgers; My First Mets Game!

photo 1My friend Kathy bought tickets to see the Mets vs the Dodgers with her boyfriend before knowing the Knicks where playing that same night. So because he’s a guy he had to see the knicks game and she was left with an extra ticket. When she asked if I wanted to go I was so excited because I’ve never been to the new [citi field] or old statdium [shea stadium], let alone watched a Mets game. She is a devoted Mets fan and liked the fact she was the one to bring me to my first game.photo 4

I went right after work which literally took me 10 mins to get to because I work a stop away. We had some great seats by left field, so we started to watch the game with a beer and some small talk . The Mets weren’t doing too bad, they did have one great inning which I think was the 4th. Over all i enjoy sports so it was a good game reguardless. When we got the munchies we dug into some quesadillas, a burger, mexican corn and some patron margaritas. The game started to run late so we left early so the boys could drive us home. The score ending up being Dodgers 7- Mets 2 but other then the fact that we lost I had a great time!

Mason’s 1st Birthday!

Supermans phone 220I can’t believe a year has already went by. It feels like it was yesterday when I was finishing his midnight sky mural over his crib and walking into the hospital room the next day with a goat-tee after coming from work to see Mason for the first time. He has brought so much joy into my family’s life, and even thou I’m not always with him like I wish I can be Louie and Kanielle are great with keeping you in the loop with all the great videos and pictures they text and post on Facebook.

The Wendy Williams Show!

20130416-151426.jpg

Yesterday was such an exciting day. My boyfriend, sister and I attended my favorite daytime talk show “The Wendy Williams Show”. I watch this show almost every morning and can’t get enough of it because Wendy is so exciting. She always has something juicy to share and her guests love to sit on her couch and spill the beans on their life. I love when she has musical guest because they usually perform, so that was what I was hoping to see yesterday but it was still a great show!

We had to be at the door at 7:00 am so I had to wake up at 4:45 am to try to make it on time to get the LIRR at 5:54 am. I have a problem with being late, so I been trying to fix that problem. Even thou I didn’t make the 5:54 am train I’m proud I did leave my house before 6:00 am, I was only 3 minutes late and that gave me time to get some breakfast.

We didn’t stand on-line for too long which was great and the weather wasn’t too cold which was even better. I was so excited to see Wendy, my boyfriend and sister was making fun of me the whole time. As we waited to be seated in the studio, they were interviewing a few people in the crowd to see who wanted to participated in the “ASK Wendy” part of the show which was the “sex edition” yesterday. That’s funny that would be the topic of the show we go to lol. My boyfriend was selected to speak to Wendy but during the show they didn’t have enough time to get to him because it’s live so that was a bummer.20130416-151414.jpg

We still had a good time, once we entered the studio it was like a party. There was a DJ playing all the jams and amping up the crowd as if we were in the club. During the commercial breaks Wendy had a hype man start-up the party every time. He was having people twerk and shaking their bottoms in their seat, this woman from Atlanta was letting the crowd KNOW she could twerk and actually won a prize for her dancing. Wendy had Cheryl Hines from the ” Suburgatory ” show, Stephen Baldwin from “Celebrity Apprentice” and Dr.Mike for the “Ask Wendy” sex edition segment. Wendy also confessed to us that she will be part of Broadway’s “Chicago” show this summer.

After the show was over Wendy spoke to the crowd and thanked us for coming. She was so nice and I thought she was a big lady but she is a lot thinner and prettier in person. My boyfriend sister and I were shocked how different she looked. We had such a great time, I wanna go again! I been to the “Tyra” talk show years back when it was on air with my good friend Jo-anne and I didn’t have near as much fun as I did at Wendy yesterday.

After we left the show and I finally got to take off my heels, we went to Argo Tea, a place my sister was raving about all morning. We decide to kill time with her until she started her class at 1:00 pm so walked to 34th street and discovered a store called “Brownstone” which had all kinds of cool gadgets and fun toys. After having fun playing in that spot, it was time to my sister to head to school. We said our goodbyes and because it was such a nice day my love and I bought some lunch and ate in the square. It was such a pleasant Monday and I’m grateful to have spent it with my family.

Till Next Time! <3 Tee [More Pictures coming soon]

My 24th Birthday!

I didn’t go all out and plan a crazy birthday party like I usually do, but I still had fun. My birthday landed on a Monday this year so I decided to do a little something on Sunday and just have a cake cutting with my family on the day of my birthday.

Sunday, I ended up going to a bar in the Village called Wicked Willies. I have passed this place a ton of times and have heard about it from a lot of people who have been there and had a blast. I didn’t want to celebrate my birthday with a whole lot of people. Those who came were my hubby, Melissa, Chevy, Jesicka, my cousin Shima and my sister. A few of my sisters friend’s came as well. I had a small but great group with me on my birthday. Continue reading

My Christmas 2012

christmas2012This Christmas was one of the best so far. I was very much in the spirit, even with the unfortunate drama that still exist with my roommates and my living situation. I spent many Christmas lonely and wishing to have that cheerful spirit I use to have as a child. Christmas for me hasn’t been about the gifts for a long time. Growing up with not much helps you cherish other things, like your family, your health, your blessings, etc. Like every past Christmas  I didn’t receive many presents, but I finally got the gift I always wanted which was L O V E . I spent this wonderful holiday season with a heart full of love and finally the christmas spirit. After Spectrum, my beau and I bought our first tree and chose a red and silver color combo to decorate it with. We put red hearts, silver doves all over the body and glittery mistletoe at the top of our tree to symbolize our love. Since I haven’t been able to go to my apartment in a while, I decorated and transformed my beau’s place into a Christmas wonderland. Continue reading

Ladies Night In!

Some time in September, before the chill took over our New York nights my ladies and I came together for an amazing dinner filled with laughs, good stories and great home cooked food. I decided to host this shin-dig at my apartment because my roof top has a great view of the city. We all decided to bring something to dinner some of the ladies supplied the wine but most of us brought a home made dish. My favorite was Sara’s amazing baked Mac & Cheese. I made puerto rican rice & beans and salad, Olivia made 2 baked hens that Mocha stole from the dinner table, and Millie made pork chops.
The night started with Sara, Chevy and I. Soon Olivia, Millie and Melissa joined the party. We all haven’t came together at once in a while, so this dinner was special. Continue reading

San Gennaro Festival, Little Italy !

I try to attend the San Gennaro Festival every year. This year I went to the festival with my superman and a few of his friends. I discovered the festival was happening on it’s last day. After playing some catch with his friends and playing with the dogs in the park, we got to the festival around late afternoon that Sunday. As soon as we entered the San Gennaro fest my honey spotted a a large stand that said PINA COLADA’S. Continue reading

Fashion Night Out

This was the 3rd year in a row, I celebrated FNO [Fashion's Night Out]. Every year I spend FNO completely different. This year I barely checked out the stores and attractions. The crowd isn’t my thing anymore and all I ready wanted to see was the crazy, fancy and cool outfits being worn that night. My superman and his friend Tony decided to spend FNO with me. This was their first time celebrating FNO, so they weren’t sure what to expect. I told them both to get really dressy and for my supermen to match me..hehehe we looked cute! Continue reading

Walker Fee ” Inside Out ” Solo Show

A few weeks ago my friend Walker Fee was having his opening reception to his new solo show “Inside Out: Works of Tape” at Gallery 151. Walker like myself is a Queens base artist, so I had to support. In this show Walker’s works are influenced by an art historical past with contemporary signifier and personal mythology. He made everything out of tape. Duck tape, masking tape, scotch tape, electric tape….I must say I was impressed. My favorite piece in the show was his “Wu Tang Klan” mirror and tape piece. I like the mixture of Japanese folk art with little bits of old school hip hop elements he combined perfectly in that piece. Continue reading
