This last weekend of January, my best friend and I went to Washington DC. Getting out of New York was the best thing I could have done to cure my current depression this past month. The trip was planned to be on my birthday weekend, but certain things restricted that from happening :-/ .The trip was great, we saw most of the monuments and as many museums as we could. With the 2 days we were there we successfully squeeze visiting all my family and seeing most of the district in our trip. We stayed at my uncle’s town house which in Virgina which was big and beautiful. We got to see my new baby cousin Jayden and my gorgeous aunt Myria as well. Sunday was the day we saw most of the city like the white house, the capital, the Lincoln memorial, the reflection pool and everything. I loved the time I got to spend with my best friend Nicole, we’re so busy with our personal lives we hardly get enough time to get enjoy each others company longer than 3 hrs. New york is definitely the city that never sleeps. On sunday after our site seeing we wanted to get something to eat and warm up, plus our new yorker feet were killing us and we needed to take a major rest. We started looking for restaurants and nothing was open including Bodega’s and deli’s. It was a ghost town and it was only 5pm!!!. We’re both Capricorn so we were getting so frustrated and annoyed at the same things, at the same time, I think we started getting annoyed at each other because we were so cold and hungry our crankiness was at it’s max..lol. Over all the trip was great, I got a really neat pilot hat and a Rosie Riveter magnet from the National Air and Space Museum which was my favorite museum, as well as some nice prints of artwork displayed in the National Gallery of Art which was my second favorite museum. Along with those museums we saw the National Museum of Natural History, Hirsthorn Museum ,the Smithsonian Sculpture Garden, and the Museum of Native Americans.
