Back When I was Rogue
These photos are from a fun shoot I did with Mersi late last year. As you can see they’re pretty old because I’m not wearing my rogue look anymore. I wanted to post these a while ago, but it’s better late than never. This is just part one of this post, I took a few shoots with him that haven’t been seen yet. Just waiting on the edits. I’m taking modeling seriously now, so I’m pulling out all the goodies in my hidden stash to create a decent portfolio. Stay tune for the next post.

How am I just seeing this post now?!? I sent out Christmas cards filled with my custom stickers and such this year to all my friends to show some love. I didn’t know my lovely friend Stephie made a cute post about it on her blog. I’m so happy she liked the gesture and the goodies.:-) I hope the rest of you who received a card also liked it as well.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!
New Painting “Curly Hair” by TKL
Lately I’ve been really focused on improving the way I draw/paint hair. I asked my friend Corey who’s sick with it when it comes to hair, to show me how he draws hair so well. He did and ever since I’ve been practicing to get my hair to look better. Because I kinda got the hang out it I wanted to try it out as a painting. So I decided to keep it simple and let the hair be the focus point of the piece. I drew a simple girl, gave her a funny face to add a little pop to the piece and I went in on the hair. I first started with diluted acrylic but I realized it wasn’t defining the hair like I wanted it to. So I used the acrylic for under tones and shadow and bought some black deco markers and went over the hair with some extra fine and fine point markers. I wanted to keep it black and white so it stayed simple but classy. Because I sketch her from imagination (no reference) getting her proportions correct was a little extra to do as you can see below. But for me first piece showcasing my knowledge of hair now, I like the final look a lot. The hair still isn’t perfect but it’s pretty good for a beginner.
