Happy April Fool’s Day.
Here’s a Sketch of my right hand Melissa as a happy lol…Evil Queen.
This is the fourth of my promotional superhero / villain comic sketches. Melissa as you all know by now is my number one lady. She as well as I grow up
as a Disney kid . We love all the princesses and seen all the movies. So when I asked her what she would like to be when I started to draw her of course she said a Disney character, only she decided to be a villain. Who’s better than Snow White’s Evil Queen.
Inspired by Ravenna from the movie “Snow White and the Huntsman”, I dressed her up as the evil queen with a bit of her true self in the mix. That’s why I added her favorite boots and gave her a rack to die for…lol
This will be soon framed and hung in her room as well. Interested in being transformed into your favorite hero or villain email me at love.teekayelle@gmail.com
For this week I want to show you guys this awesome info- graphic comparing Iron Man to Batman. Their both one of the wealthiest characters in the comic world and currently part of the popular group of comic book characters of our day. Gaining popularity with the extremely successful box office hits such as the Dark Knight trilogy, Iron Man and last summer’s movie of the season ” The Avengers”!
The great thing about these two characters is that fact that they do not have any type of super powers. They risk their life’s every day fighting crime for justice, when with lives they have they can easily sit back and let life be as sweet as pie. They’re both a great example of how money can not give you everything…. but in their case money can help you buy anything you need to make the world a better place for everyone. Every wonder how much all their suits, gizmos and gadgets exactly cost?! Well a fan of TKL.com emailed this info-graphic to me created by Homeownersinsurance.com , that calculates the cost of each of our heroes equipment all the way down to even the price of their lairs and cars. I found this pretty cool, so take a look below and enjoy!
Here’s a Sketch of my friend Sara as my version of a nuyorican heroine, better known as La Comandante Sarita.
This is the third of my promotional superhero / villain comic sketchs. Sara is a proud puerto rican new yorker. She stands up for culture, educating the female masses and living life to the fullest. I personalized this sketch a bit more than the other comic sketches I did before because I know her.
I dressed her in a militant outfit to show strength and leadership. Her cape is the american and the Puerto Rican flag to express her nationality. On her hat is the Cuban shield to show her love for Cuba. She’s currently growing her hair out so I exaggerated her length and gave her a little bit more breast for fun.
This will be soon framed and hung in her room. Interested in being transformed into your favorite hero or villain email me at love.teekayelle@gmail.com
I’m starting a new series this month dedicated to everything comic book related. If you been reading my blog for a while, your already aware of my love for comics and the world of comics. This post is the first of my “Marvel Monday” series, and what better way to kick it off then Superman’s 75th anniversary this year !
The Man of Steel will be celebrated this year in a couple of ways. The grandaddy of all super heroes has a much-anticipated movie coming out this June as well as two all new comic book series. Now if your one of many who loved the Dark Knight trilogy and was hoping for DC to make a movie for Superman just as good as they did for Batman, then your prayers have finally been answered. The new movie ” Man of Steel ” starring Henry Cavill as the caped hero comes out this June 14th. Because of the major success of the box office hit “The Dark Knight”, many including myself have very high hopes for this Superman movie. Hopefully it surpasses all our expectations since all Superman’s prior films haven’t been as good as Batman’s or any of the recent Marvel hero films. I sure can’t wait!
Saturday, January 14 was my 23rd birthday and I celebrated it this year with a bang! To start off my birthday weekend my co-workers at BCNY surprised me with a birthday cake before we all closed down to go home Friday evening. I thought that was so sweet and it reminded me how great my job and co-workers are. Later Friday night I went to work my second job at Viva Lounge, which is where I brought in my birthday. Once it struck midnight my bosses started celebrating my birthday by buying me drinks all night long. Saying happy birthday after rounds and rounds of shots and my favorite part was the Dj shouting out my name all night because I was the special birthday girl. Definitely a great start to my birthday!
